Eagle's Night

The time was kinda packed last Sunday. I was playing in the worship team during service, and came back church for Christmas Night's practice. Anyway, I promised Christian Fellowship worship team to play for a sudden event that held in our uni that evening. So I rushed back after practice. By God's grace, I met someone heading back to uni too at Kajang KTM and got a free ride back.

Setting up our instruments before it started:

The event is called "Eagle's Night", it's about African students from different churches gather and have performances/worship together. I bet I'm not having any cultural shock with the experience I had for African Sunday Service at Nilai College and Cross-Over Night at Nottingham University. Their worship and response are always incredible.

One pianist one drummer, free-style rocks!

My team were watching from upstairs, since we don't really know them well. The speakers and main worship team were really good. The event was done nicely, sound system itself were hired private company, which give simple and good quality. As usual, their worship session lasted for almost an hour or more.

Upstairs view and the hired sound system company:

There were several items including drama and message from preacher. The UNMC Christian Fellowship was one of them. We did Time Has Come and Hosanna, just one rush practice done on Friday =.=. Anyway, playing with this gang is somehow a very new experience, they're great.

After that, several bands played on stage. In between, there're a drama performance. The theme was mainly about Satan condemning people with sin, where Jesus came and ransom us. Compare to Malaysians, their acting are more motionful. The meaning behind the story were clearly shown.

Sinners in black, Satan in red scarf and Jesus in white:

Seriously, the event took to long. It was 10 pm late night, and we haven't had our dinner. Out of desperation, a few of us sneaked out and grab a quick meal, expecting they'll be finish by the time we got back.

Nasi Lemak as dinner:

While we returned, it's almost the end of the final message. Once again, I witnessed something new and worth studying in spiritual life. The pastor prayed for the students and declare that 7 of them will commit their life for ministry. I was kinda blur at the point, but in awe when 7 random students were slained by the holy spirit one by one (filled with spirit and fall).

Praying hard for the spirit to work in them:

Again, it was another tiring night. I got home at almost 12 midnight, but the experience was worth it. It also gives a very good pre-stage play before our Christmas Celebration Night comes.

"Sin is no longer your master, for yhou are no longer subject to the law, which enslaves you to sin. Instead, you are free by God's grace."

Thank You Lord for blessing us in every aspects of our life. Witnessing the works done by difference ministries really encouraged me to worship You, and know that You alone are worthy of all praises. Pray that You blessed the students that attended Eagle's Night so that we can apply what we learn and soar high like an eagle for Your glory. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
