Christmas Musical Night

Last Saturday night, we had Christmas Musical Night in Cheras Baptist Church. It's an event organized by Pastor Daryl which we had music, story behind Christmas and Drama. Well, I'm in the worship team again, so I went earlier for practice.

Final practice before the event starts:

Bryan, Tim, Chris on guitars and Ivan on the drum:

It's time to clear the stage as people are arriving. When the lightings are all on in the sanctuary, I noticed that the decorations are really beautiful. Just looking around make it a really great night.

The stage and the control room:

Honestly, I'm very worried since I didn't have much time to practice and Christmas songs are really hard to play. Moreover, we're doing 11 songs this time! Well, I don't know whether I did a good job or not, but it definitely was a lot of people.

The night started with some Christmas songs:

There were also readers that give a brief introduction about Christmas. In between songs, we had the 3 wise men that talked about the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. This made it like a journey with some songs flowing.

Readers and our 3 wise men:

After music, we had Ibrahim from UCSI performing a few rap songs. He really can bring the crowd along. Next, the Chinese Congregation did a drama base on the story of Luke 15:11-31. It's kinda interesting as they're doing in in mandarin and cantonese, with the subtitles on the slide shows.

Rap performance and chinese drama:

"So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up."
-Romans 14:19

Lord, it's so amazing to see so many non-believers in church and in awe of the works done for Your glory. Pray that You will send people to harvest as we planted the seeds of faith in them. Let Your will be done, may Your kingdom come. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
