Christmas in Cheras Baptist

The day to rejoice the arrival of our God almighty has come, it's Christmas! I stayed back after caroling the night before to wake up early and prepare for this big day in church. After opening the church, me and Tim had our breakfast and I got my one and only Christmas present of the year from him. Thanks man!

Roti telur and (my only) black socks:

We had a quick practice early in the morning. Lydia was leading, and it's another special worship that I had since I'm only doing padding on the keyboard while Daniel plays the main piano.

Practicing for worship service later:

However, I'm doing O Holy Night with Stephanie (piano only), so I'm switching piano in the middle of service and switch back to continue worship =.= It wasn't the first time for me to do something like this anyway (thanks to Christopher).

Playing both piano and keyboard at both sides of the church:

There were a few performances too, Tat Hee did a solo singing Mary Did You Know. Another one is this kid Gideon playing the violin while another girl was singing. The coolest thing was, his mother Aunty Daniella played the piano doing accompaniment for him.

Mother and son combination:

The day went on with a solo by Pastor Daryl. Seriously, it's a super tough song to sing but he did it well. We had baby dedication too on that day, where parents dedicate their new born child to church where we church members promised to take part in their growth.

Pastor Daryl singing and baby dedication:

Here came the highlight, it's baptism. We had 5 baptism candidates including Kai Seng and Stephanie doing membership transfer. It's really cool to be baptized during Christmas, being reborn on the day people celebrate the coming of The Lord.

Baptism and membership transfer candidates:

After the closing song, I just realized that there're so many people behind. Lunch was provided, but I didn't get much since I'm clearing up some stuff upstairs. Just made it for a little main dishes and desserts.

Look at the crowd, and the food:

I was just kidding with Bryan asking him to wear the shirt that's quite similar to my new one. I never expect that he did and people say we really looked alike. I felt so bad realizing that there's no picture of me and him in my camera T_T After a period of sadness, I was so glad to find this on facebook, thanks Nicole!

Me and Bryan:

"The ones who do the planting or watering aren't important, but God is important because He is the One who makes the seed grow."
-1 Corinthians 3:7
-

Once again Lord, You had show us wonderful moments where believers gather to celebrate Your presence in us. I pray that You sent people to water the seeds that we planted among the non-believers through this service. All glory to You Lord, that we knew the joy is from the spirit within. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Cool day there, despite all the time needed to prepare. It's great that Kaiseng and Stephanie are baptised too. Our family's growing :D

And hey you got another Christmas present on our Gift Exchange night right? :)

Merry Christmas Adam. :)
