Kurdistan Restaurant

On of our colleague who graduated came back and visit, so the while SID research group is going out for dinner together. We went to Kurdistan Restaurant at Hyson Green, a pretty nice Arabic restaurant. We ended up combining 4 big tables, and this is how big my research group is... with a few from other departments.

A few of our colleagues are close to the owner, and we are offered naans with different spices for appetizer. It was quite a while since I had Mandi Lamb (used to be my favourite dinner in Nilai), big portion of fragrance rice and tender lamb, a taste of heaven once again.

Gathering dinner of the SID research group:

Well, the topic that postGrads and postDocs can be quite general and common during off-office hours. We had Arabic tea and some desserts after meal, which is like wraps with sweet fillings. Pretty good deal of dinner since we only need to pay for the main course (Mandi lamb that costs £6).

For all the challenges and discouraging factors encountered in research, please Lord, take it away and bring us through. I need a greater power to put things together, and I trust that you will not forbid us in such difficult situation. Guide me and mold me, in Your ways, Amen.
