Spice Night 2012

This event is called Viva La Vida Night in Malaysia campus, and here the Pharmacy annual event is somehow called Spice Night. I'm actually not involved but since most of the people I know here are from the Pharmacy school, would love to join the fun as well.

Long queue before the event started at Portland Atrium:

The entrance is £1, and we get some light dinner, not bad. They kick start with gospel choir, and some other performances by other societies (dance club, martial art club) and also songs by Pharmacy students. Not too bad for a night of enjoyment, seeing different presentation that I don't normally see in Malaysia.

Gospel choir and belly dance:

Capoeira and lyrical dance:

The lyrical dancers are actually preparing for a competition, no wonder it's so nice. Just when I thought that's one of the best show of the night, Ghee Vui and the girls K-pop dance actually blew the crowd away. I knew they have been practicing hard, but never thought that the response would be this good. Oh ya, I edit the song by the way XP

The closing show of the night, is actually a band performance by the lecturers and staffs of Pharmacy school. So cool, imagine your lecturers doing 80s and 90s songs. Honestly, the band is really tight with each other and it's just driving the crowd crazy. We met the band members in uni Pub, and have some a chat together~ haha.

A little motivation into the teaching industry:

"To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness."
-Ecclesiastes 2:26

The beginning of the semester is always enjoyable, pray that this moment of joy and fellowship will be blessed and cherished. Hope that the hardship if dealing with projects and research ahead will be overcome, Amen.
