Easter 2011 Celebration in FBC

Nilai student ministry is being invited by Pantai Baptist Church in PJ to do a post-worship presentation for Easter and we did a choir. We got a pretty short notice and it's super high risk to do my Oh Happy Day/Nothing But The Blood combo, but we gave it a try.

Practiced for 2 hours only the day before:

We had a whole 44-sitters bus full this time and I need to go there by Robert's car. We arrived slightly earlier than the bus and get to take some awesome pictures around. But seriously, I'm kinda nervous... how long was it since I played a weighted keyboard in front of so many people?

The church members baked the cupcakes:

Our presentation was right after the worship service. I'm on the piano and Charles on the drum (2 man band). This is a pretty hard song to play especially with all the key changes. Thanks God, it really did well and the congregation really liked it. I'm really enjoying myself on the keys again.

Hey, there's James on the piano again for the worship team. He's sorta like the main pianist in this church and the way he played really inspired me to learn worship music when I just started.

The most encouraging thing is, after the service, he approached me and said I played really well ^_^ some more ask me am I a gospel pianist (actually I don't know what genre is that). Being recognized by someone that you set as role model, I felt like all the hard work for these years really paid off.

Worship and sermon:

After that, Robert invited me and the Chan family to Delicious in Bangsar Village for his birthday lunch. Wow, his whole family was there too, I'm the only outsider, but the lunch was great, both food and fellowship. Happy Birthday to Robert once again.

Lunch in Bangsar:

"I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands."
-1 Chronicles 21:13
-

Thank You Lord for blessing me this group of great people. Doing great things together for Your glory is always the most enjoyable things to do. Pray that through this presentation, we bless the students and also the church members. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
