WorshipAsia Concert

After Sunday worship service in Nilai, me and Colin went to Cheras Baptist Church in the evening to join WorshipAsia Concert. It's an opening concert performed by the WorshipAsia team followed by a worship training conference the next day.

When we arrive, the church members are having rehearsal with the team. Then, dinner was served and we had a light meal. Everyone looked so busy preparing and setting up for the event.

Dinner time in the cafe:

Are you wondering why most of us are wearing yellow? It's the new T-shirt for CBC members. This is actually my first T-shirt from CBC. I wasn't really being updated with things happening around since I'm at Nilai recently.

It's a special occasion in CBC, this team only come once in 3 years. So, lets have a look at the marvelous settings. There are 2 clavinovas and 1 keyboard on stage! This is the first time I see more keyboards then guitar, feel so good~ It's gonna be a very eye opening concert for me XD.

It's almost time for the concert to start, the sound system team is getting prepared. The sanctuary is getting crowded by people, ready to praise the highest name of all.

The concert started with an instrumental performance. Next, soloists with splendid voices are singing songs, with some famous worships in between where the congregation stand together and sing in one voice.

A brass band in the worship team, really something new:

I really felt blessed to be in this concert listening to their songs. We just did 2 of them that morning (Forever & Shout to the Lord), not mentioning my all-time-favourites being performed (We Fall Down & Above All), they even did a song that caught my attention recently (Word of God Speak) and I just played it before I came to Cheras, too much to be called a coincidence!

It ended a little earlier than I expected. Anyway, I'm spending the night in Cheras, so I could still hang around. Overall, it's a good concert with the presence of the spirits. It's not the skilled or voices that shaken me, it's somehow a little overwhelming of something, just like Passion Concert (but Passion is so much nicer).

By the way, it's also Robert Ling's birthday, so we make a little fun of him after the show. I can't believe Shaun Khoo has the same birthday with Robert =.=... Anyway, happy birthday to Robert and Shaun.

No one can hide against the judgment of God, it is true that worship not just on Sundays, where God is blessing us everyday, all the time, God is good. Pray that this worship concert not only bring us the eager to worship You, LORD. But also to prepare us as better worshipers and being able to spread the gospel. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
