Cheryl found the baking manual, and started to take all the ingredients out from the kitchen. These includes brown sugar, salt, soda, chocolate chips, butter, flour, egg and so on. The project manager will be Cheryl Chan, project supervisor Charles Chan, senior project engineer Robert and assistant project engineer Adam Jong.
First, we measured everything to the desired quantity. This part was fun, it works like my lab session. Secondly, the butter and sugar are mixed and stirred. Then, 2 eggs are added but not together (1 at a time) *Yeah! My first time breaking an egg successfully*. The funny thing is, the next few procedures until the end would be mixing everything into the mixture (throw everything into the bowl). This sounds easier than I thought...
OK, then we scooped the mixture to a baking tray and baked it in the oven with 180 degree celcies. The first batch showed up as a disaster, we didn't expect it to expand that much. Instead of being a few round cookies on the tray, it flooded the whole tray and became one big flat cookie. To safe the situation, we used a love shape mold to cut it into love shaped cookies (and we ate the extra parts ^_^).
For the next batch, we scooped smaller sizes of mixture to the tray. It turned out quite nice, but still a bit large. For the following batches, we added some cocoa powder to turn it into chocolate cookies. The unexpected thing is, chocolate cookies burn faster than normal cookies, so we can't really differentiate whether it's burnt or it's the colour of chocolate.
Anyway, it taste nice, tasted more like popcorn actually. In the end, we managed to make around 70 cookies!
It is told in Isaiah 17:12-13, "Look! The armies rush forward like waves thundering toward the shore. But though they roar like breakers on a beach, God will silence them. They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind or like dust whirling before a storm". No matter how serious the problem we face, have faith in Him, and it will all be done. Well, by struggling to study alone at Semenyih or to share my faith with fellow believers at Nilai, I hope I made a right choice. I pray that Robert will found a job that he likes soon and pray that God be with him. Also pray that Nilai UC and KTT students will enjoy this christmas where the Chan family had put a lot of effort in it. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
