Area of Olympic 1992

After the free tour in the morning, we walked around the port. The others plan to spend the rest of the day at the beach but I felt like I wanna go somewhere else, so I'm alone finding my way to my destination~ the area in Barcelona where Olympic 1992 took place. Exploring alone is really exciting and fun.

Some sea side shots:

With a map in hand, I plan to took the short cut from La Rambla, which crosses through the housing area instead of using metro. Honestly, I kinda lost my way somehow and by drilling here and there, it worked out~ (satisfaction) I'm at Theater Grec, the garden of Olympic.

Cutting through houses and here I am at the destination:

Theater Grec is where they had summer performances, for some reason I'm in love with this place. The best thing is, there's nobody here, I get to take all sorts of pictures I want. Looking around, it looks like a wild place but they have backstage and risers for lighting and speakers. A very good setting for concert.

Feeling the atmosphere in an open air theater:

The garden is bigger than I thought, after turning here and there and took some pictures with fountains, here I am at the National Museum of Catalonia. It's super huge, and it has a first class view of the town (I said the same thing at Park Guell =.=). Anyway, didn't went in since it's not free and I'm chasing for time.

National Museum of Catalonia and a street performer:

Finally, the Olympic ring! Seriously, the outer court of the ring is huge! Like 2-3 layers of fountain and a very modern and tall telephone tower. I was planning to just peek into the ring, to my surprise, it's free entrance on that day! Wow, I get to go into the audience area (but not stepping onto the field). I think big and wide area of space makes me feel happy, I love this place!

Olympic ring and the outer court:

"Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt."
-Psalms 123:3

Thank You Lord for the guidance and fruitful trip. I have heard of Olympic all these while but can never imagine its greatness until i see one of it. It is true as well that Your love and mercy is so overwhelming, so much more that none can know unless we indulge in it, Amen.
