PostGrad Genting Trip

In the middle of bombing stress and pouring depression, it's time for an escape from reality. The post grad students in my office organized a trip to Genting Highland. There're 10 of us, all guys~ and we left office at 3:30pm, after reporting the day to my supervisor.

Arrived in the evening and got into our rooms:

After checking in to our rooms (First World Hotel), we walked through all the paths and escalator (Genting sure is super huge =.=). When I realize, we are going into the casino. Funny, instead of asking for my IC, the guard actually asked for my passport, do I look like a foreigner? Too bad, pictures are not allowed, the place looks big and nice.

The reason of entering the casino is... the New Orleans Restaurant is inside. The price sure looks scary, but come to think about it, free flow of coffee, tea, salad and soup-of-the-day worth it all! These crazy seniors even ordered a big cylinder of beer.

Nice food, nice water blowing:

They spent some time testing their luck in the casino while I give myself a tour around the game desks. Don't underestimate old ladies, their so much more fierce when they gamble. Then we walked around the cold outdoor, got back to our rooms for a short rest, and our own poker session started. I ended up sleeping at 3 a.m that night watching the pro match.

Milor became addicted to poker:

I think some of them played whole night, but I'm waken by roommates at 8 a.m for breakfast at Coffee Terrace. Wow~ it's the greatest breakfast buffet I had so far, the varieties of delicious food ~oh my~ I think I went for 4-5 rounds of dishes, although it's just breakfast.

Some of the tasty dishes:

Besides the food, the place is also very nice. Maybe it's coz of early morning, it's not that crowded like any other places in Genting. They even have this cool balcony place with binocular, a great place for sigh seeing.

Around the restaurant:

Hehe~ finally it's time to return from dream land. We leave at 12 afternoon, there was a serious traffic jam on the way down, looks like something rolled down the hill *eikkks. Anyway, we reached office safe every tired PhD students are back to their beds.

Great trip:

"The allotment for Joseph began at the Jordan, east of the springs of Jericho, and went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel."

Thank You Lord for blessing us a safe journey and wonderful trip. Pray that You bless our respective research and may we find new break through by keeping our faith in You. In Jesus I pray, Amen.
