David's Farewell

2nd week of "work" has just passed by like that, I thought my days would continue by just waiting instructions in the labs for the next few months. Hey, maybe that's not entirely correct, the researchers around do know how to throw a party to destress. David Wee is leaving to UK soon, a BBQ at Kean How's place would be nice.

Straight down after supervisor "releases" me:

It's the first outing (sort of) with this gang, and I'm not really official in the office yet. Somehow, they are not total strangers anyway, gonna put a bit bit effort to break the ice.

Let's start the fire:

These doctors soon-to-be are not super nerdy after all, but making fun and jokes about publications and researches will always be there. Overall, nice foods, nice drinks, blowing water... and there goes the night.

High solidified carbon content:

Seriously, I wonder would they have this kind of fun in the working world. Might be... if lucky enough, most likely... nah. So, with this gang of people, this 12 months won't be that much of a torture, I guess... I hope. Ya, I'm cool with it.

Cheers for David's departure:

Finally, we're done with the BBQ stuffs, and into the house, we have mountains high of junk foods! Card games are kinda essential in this moments, some are taking time injecting alcohol into their blood streams (means drinking la). Well, it was quite awhile since I strolled outside til this late, reached home at 2:30 am.

Junk food session:

"If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me."

It's indeed a new chapter of life, things are so different now. Certainly, graduates of my batch are also experiencing it, either they're out to work or continue studying. No matter what it is, may the grace of God be upon us. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
