Well, we reached church early too... manage to "break in" but still need to wait for Tim to open the church. While waiting, we took out our notes to study but mostly just chatting *normal la*.
I just noticed it's a full moon, a full moon on New Year Eve (so rare)! Tim finally came and asked Bryan to prepare some songs for the fellowship later. Bryan is always busy about something, but it's an informal meeting, so easy stuffs would made the day I guess.
People gradually arrive, new and old faces. They chit chat around while we're preparing the stuffs and finally we got it started by introducing each one of us and a few worship songs (led by Bryan of course).
It's a long night, Tim and Joel prepared some games. The human bingo (walk around searching for people's features and get them sign on your paper) and body scavenger hunt. Basically a group of 5 people playing different parts (brain, mouth, eyes, hand and leg) and work together to find a list of items.
Games are fun, but nothing can be better than sharing testimonies. We had a few people sharing about how God had impacted their life in 2009. It always encourage us to pursue God even more and understand one person. I felt like sharing but there were people with more powerful messages, it would be more beneficial for them to share.
While we were happy partaking the refreshments, a loud bang broke through the silent night. It's fireworks that alarmed the arrival of 2010, the kids were really happy to see it, it was so close to us. Well, finally I did countdown with someone for the very first time... hope that 2010 will be a nice year.
The nearest firework:

"I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some."
-1 Corinthians 9:22-

Lord, as I look back to the pass one year, I noticed how You lift me up and bring me to this place where I'm standing now. I give thanks to all the things that You'd done for me, and all the people that You put in my life. Lord, lay Your healing hands upon the sick, as we will strife harder for Your glory. In Jesus I pray, Amen.
