One Day Melacca Trip

Last Friday I went down to Nilai to spend my weekend again. As usual, Friday night will be worship practice for Sunday service. Then, we had some discussion about Melacca Trip the next day, as Beau Bristow wanna spend some time enjoying around Malaysia when the his schedule's not tight.

Practicing the songs in student house:

Beau Bristow is a songwriter and artist with 3 albums released (available on itune, check out his website here). He came to perform in Nilai UC last year where I was in the organizing commitee, that's how I know him, and is back for another tour concert this year.

The first place that we visited in Melacca is Taman Mini Malaysia which is a garden that "sumarize" the whole Malaysia culture. We watch some cultural dance performance, where our famous Beau is also invited to have a dance with them. Next, we have some rumah panjang.

The entrance:

Mostly primary and secondary school children watching the performance:

Our special guess being invited on the stage:

Rumah panjang and some old stuffs inside:

We met up with Shaun and his colleague, Jeff at one of the chicken rice shop at Jonker Street. It's been a long time since I met him, really have a good time blasting him off. He didn't change much, still that bluffy Shaun except he's not a student anymore, he's working in Public Bank marketing department? (something like that... whatever)

Shaun and Jeff joining for lunch:

So, we visited a lot of places including A Famosa and Warisan Pahlawan. We also have a lot of nice food. The ABC at Jonker Street, can't miss it!

Some random places that we visited:

I met this situation in TV, but never experience this in real life. There's really a people queue up for food for more than 1 hour! There's a sate shop in Melacca where it's only 5 something in the evening and the queue is like 2 or 3 shops long. It's quite nice but I can't take that much coz it's sauce is spicy (I took 17 sticks, 1 soya bean and 1 coconut drink).

Look at the long queue:

Finally, it's our turn! (almost an hour waiting)

What a mess:

Thanks Cheryl for inviting me to have this pleasure trip. Thanks Robert and Charles driving us around, I slept almost the whole way back to Nilai, haha. Thanks Shaun for "willingly" spending some time with us.

Pray that the coming events organized by CBC will be successful. Pray that everyone continue to grow strong in Christ as we are given more blessings. Lord, pray that you bless me if I had met the right one and make my way true. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
