Internship Started

The title of my research internship for this very first and last summer break I have is Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on Underground Storage Tank (UST). Basically it's simulating how a fuel tank reacts when it is burried, computing all the stresses and deflections stuffs.

Dr.Albert is majoring in FEA sort of work, he lent me a book about UST, and said there's another book from the library about FEA. Somehow, here's the first "meeting" we had:

Me: So, I'll just read these few chapters for now?
Dr.Albert: Ya, and if you got any problem, come see me on Friday.
Me: Huh? Oh ok... =.=

It means that... internship is not really those office work that I have to stay in a building from 9 a.m til 5 p.m like I imagined. So, my work is just go to the library to get the book, and finish reading the few chapters appointed. As long as I did it before Friday, I can do anything in between these few days.

Since I have some basic understanding about FEA during diploma, reading doesn't take that much time. Then, I tried to draw the UST using ProE, ugh... I hate ProE. It's the first time I'm using the big computer lab alone, with 114 PCs and aircond on, but nobody.

Well, it's been a good start I think. I pray that LORD will guide everyone of us and bless on any plans that we have for this summer break. Also pray that it will be a safe trip for the candidates that is participating the Tri-Campus Game in Nottingham UK, they're departing tomorrow. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
