PostGrad Genting Trip (2011)

It's not one year yet, but we had another PostGrad annual trip to Genting, which probably would be the last one coz most of them would be busy with final thesis by next year which I'll not be around too. This time, there's 9 of us going up with 4 free rooms from coupons.

Waiting to check in and I'm Gavin's roommate:

A little walk in the casino, and there we go for dinner, the same place as last year. I don't mind the bottomless salad, but the refill-able mushroom soup is splendid. Then they kinda played in the casino a while, followed by some night walk without jacket (training before going to UK).

Dinner place:

We normally would play poker in one of our room at night, but we left the chips in office. Well, we improvised and made use of what we had, peanuts and snack to replace chips. The winner gets authority over all the snacks (which most likely will ended up being distributed over the office).

Midnight poker, and the winner:

Sleeping late is not something unusual, but waken up early (9pm) for breakfast is kinda unusual, some more the weather is too good for sleeping. The others had breakfast at Old Town, Gavin brought me to Coffee Terrace for breakfast buffet, which we will eat until we skip dinner!

Breakfast buffet:

So there goes our 2 days 1 night escape from research. A good timing since I just submitted my first year report a few days ago. It ain't finish yet, we're driving down from Genting at 11 am, joining the others for another adventure. To be continued...

Group picture before check out:

"Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them."
-Ezra 8:12

Thank You Lord for blessing such a great time of rest with the others and get to know each other more. It's been a safe and enjoyable trip. Pray that everything will go smooth for those who are still rushing for 2nd year report and will be traveling by the months to come. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
