FGA Baptism Service

It's the first weekend after I done my project, although there's still one more assignment, I chose to do something that I've not been doing for so long - church visit. I'm visiting Shen's church today. He's attending the Saturday service of Full Gospel Assembly (FGA) in KL. The service starts at 5:30 pm, we reached a bit earlier, and had a drink nearby.

KL style mamak:

I actually planned this a few weeks ago, and it hits on their baptism service. Thus, Shen is not attending the young adult service like he normally does, cause his mum is getting baptized today! Congratulation! By the way, I'm so shock with the size of their church building, they even have a private car park! Put that aside, they have 72 baptism candidates on that day!!!

They split the candidates into 3 groups, in between they have sermon and worship. Unbelievable crowd, I roughly calculated the available seats in this sanctuary, it's around 720 =.= Oh no, I looked like a rural boy in a city, everything is an eye-opener. This is even bigger than First Baptist Church.

Baptism session:

The worship team, mostly are adults. They don't do superior individual solos but I can tell the band is really clean and tight together. This is really experience play, being mature enough to pull back at the correct time and blend in with the other band members. Undeniable, a very good worship team, and they have a grand piano and Roland keyboard!!!

Shen's mum was the 6th in group 2, he was so happy when it's her turn. The dad even go up to the front to take pictures. So cool, his dad uses a DSLR. Honestly, there's a little bit of envy seeing his whole family attending the same church together (the younger brother too).

Aunty's baptism:

We joined Shen's cell group members for dinner, at Rabbit Cafe. Western food, "nice"price, nice place, nice food, nice fellowship. I realize, I'm able to talk even though I never met them before. I would act like a wood if it was me last 2 years, haha.

Lord, once again I'm in awe of Your great love. Thanks so much for bringing me to this place and witness this big crowd worshiping and being baptized. Shen will be facing due dates of his group project and the other 2 courseworks. It would be very tough, but by Your grace, guide him through all hardships, just like how You had open my path. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
