As I said in my last post, I am given an extension to submit my report next Monday. However, I'm strongly engcouraged by Yeo and Cheen Wei which are under the same tutor group as me, they have the same extension as me but they still want to submit it on Friday.
Both of them are also direct entry as me, so we are also learning something tough together. The difference is Cheen Wei's from Inti Nilai, not sure about Yeo. So, last night I worked out my report. Typing and searching around the net for information. Funny, my housemate Teng was waiting for everyone in the house to turn off their com so that he can have maximum speed to play DOTA. Sorry to say that I did not know and he blindly waited until 2a.m and just went to bed. *Mua ha ha*
The war between me and this report continues all the way, until I get fed up so many times and feel like giving up, then I tell myself "C'mon, it's not only me that's suffering, many people is struggling for this thing and they MUST make it tomorrow, I can't take advantage of my extension." (I guess some of the "me" that always strife to win is still inside). Then, step by step, challenging my determination and patience, I finished my report at 4.30a.m! No doubt, I'm down on my bed immediately. Luckily me class is 10a.m today.
In Nottingham University, there's a system for assignment submission. We need to fill in a coursework submission form, attach it with our assignment, submit it to Engineering Faculty, and the staff there will chop the date of submission on the form, and return us a reciept, which is a proove that we submitted the assignment on that time, they will pass the assignments to the respective tutor/lecturer. So I submited my 38 pages report today! Yin and Hinn is also quite excited because we finally finished this 5 weeks of torture! (Feel like finishing final exam)
The receipt for coursework submition:
Me, Yin and Hinn holding our hardwork outcome!
Then Teng took all 6 of us out for lunch at Broga, then we went to The Store (supermarket) to restock. After that, I played badminton with the staff again (I can't believe I still can stand that long since didn't sleep much last night). There I met a new friend Kitt, he's a good player, and quite a nice guy (so far). At first when he knew Ali is a staff, he's shock (I think he only plays with students so far, that's why).
Since it's staff session, he thought I'm something beyond student, but I look like one... So he asked, am I taking P.H.D here? (Wow, do I look that smart? *Syok*) I said I'm just Year2 direct entry, haha, and of course I asked him what course he's doing. He's studying... chemical engineering... MSC (Master of Science)!!!! This really blows me off, REALLY. He's the first one I know that is studying Master, my first "Master friend". Moreover, he's just staying somewhere near my house, 4 houses down the road. Hehe, is God planning something? Let's just see.
I'm taking tonight for relax, then I'm gonna start being serious about study again. There are more things coming, assignments, presentation, labs, projects ... etc. Haha, although the process is really hard, but the outcome worth it. After this project, I learnt a lot. Putting those mechanical engineer stuffs apart, I learnt that working together is IMPORTANT. I have to make my move to ask for guidance, no more the passive me! Be willing to share and help, and I will be shared and helped. I'm quite lucky that most of my classmates are actually nice people. Just gonna give some credits to Lynn, Felicia, Beng Keat, Brandon, Heng, Eric, Yeo and Cheen Wei for helping me throughout the project. (They are almost all the classmates that I know till now).
OK, it is said in Proverbs 23 "Commit yourself to instruction; attune you ears to hear words of knowledge." LORD, thanks for bringing me all the way when I need help. I know there are more tests to come ahead of me, to build me as a better creation, to accomplish my purpose. I will obey Your words, listen to Your sound advices. There will be a family coming around mid of November from US, and we will work with them a lot for future bible studies and maybe Sunday Services, I pray that LORD use them for your cause and let them make a difference in this place. Charles is leading worship this week in Nilai, they lack of man power this week I think, please take care of them LORD. Alex and Hannah will be leading worship next Wednesday for bible study, and it'll be the first time we have it in campus! LORD, I pray that more people will come and let Holy spirit work in them. Amen!
