Solid Rock Retreat (Part 1)

The last event of Solid Rock for the academic year, retreat at Harby Center. It's quite a good response that 30 over people sign up for it. Since it's 40 minutes away from campus by car, he are blessed with a few drivers that are willing to pick people there, even some may need to travel two rounds.

Trap in the wilderness! And we ordered Tesco delivery:

This is seriously out of nowhere, no 3G and phone reception. Everyone arrived in the late afternoon, I'm in Martin's group with my housemates and Jiong Lin's housemates too. We started off with self-introduction and a few ice breaker games, then we're off to explore the place while I'm having worship practice =.=

Games time and kitchen work:

Dinner is served, thanks to all the cooking talent in Solid Rock, we have Chicken Rice. This is as good as proper stalls in Malaysia. A big family dinner indeed, 3 long tables for all of us and I think I cleared 6 pieces of chicken myself (to eat more, you need to sit with girls).

Chicken rice dinner~ authentic Chinese food:

Just like a mini church service, we have worship session and a little teaching about God's love by Sidhara. Once again, I'm on bass... 4th and the final time of the semester. The discussion group after the session was tough, probably everyone is kinda tired after the whole day of fun. We ended up sharing random testimonies, a pretty good approach for young Christian or non-believers in our group.

Night session of God's love:

Another food and game session~ what a chilling retreat, we have random biscuits, tea and hot chocolate at the cafe side and a little bit of chit chat. After that, there goes another challenge of group charades. Honestly, no one beats the chemistry between housemates, our group is just awesome in this game! Haha, the night should actually ends like that, but we the guys are having guyz talk and playing "Polar Bear" til 4am.

Late night madness:

"We are depending on the LORD our God"
-Isaiah 36:7

It's been so long since I had an outing with so many people, from close friends to new faces. Thank You Lord for blessing us journey mercy along the trip, and also grant us peace and joy throughout this weekend here. Most importantly, open the heart of those who yet to know you, those who are seeking, and those who strayed away, Amen.
