Music Talent Quest (2011)

Yesterday was Music Talent Quest 2011 of UNMC, and for the first time, I'm joining the band category with some other postgrad students. Milor brought us to a jamming studio in Kajang town for practice. The place is actually not bad, RM 25 per hour.

We just got the band members like 3 or 4 days before the first audition. The 1st and 2nd audition was actually two days apart from each other and we didn't really had much time to practice, but miraculously we got into the final =.= Final wasn't fun too, we're kinda out of time to get prepare for it.

The finalists and my band:

There were 6 solos and 5 bands in the final. All the solos will perform first then the bands, that really makes me even nervous. They had 3 judges, 1 from University Malaya, 1 is the ex-president of Music Society and the last one is a guest singer.

Seriously, the competition between bands are very tight, we did my A Thousand Miles with some added stuffs here and there. Kinda screw up anyhow... I guess it's too ambitious to do the mash. Well, we didn't won that night, but I kinda enjoy it, I would say the ending was... pretty funny and random. A very different experience and met a lot of new people.

I thank You Lord that for this talent that You had endowed in us. I pray that for this very little gift that we had, we will use it all, and through You, it would be magnified for the world to see, and it will all return to You, for Your glory. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
