Healing Revival Rally

I never expected that I could post something under "Spiritual Life" when I'm in KK. Well, maybe facebook really did a good job in connecting people. I got an invitation from Nelson Tai about this "Healing Revival Rally", he's my childhood playmate and I think we haven't met each other for more than 3 years.

It's an event where a Singaporean speaker shares about facing storms of life and how to pray for healing. Yupz, I'm out of my mind again going out with strangers (actually it's Nelson's youth, not really strangers la...). Aw... he's 2 years younger than me but he's driving me to the church =.=

To all West-Malaysian, this is East-Malaysia at 7p.m:

So, it's my first time being in an Anglican church (All Saint Cathedral). It's huge, and well-equiped. Although I'm a Sabahan, I still have the weird feeling of attending church in Sabah. The teaching is kinda... interesting, here's the 3 main steps to face stroms of life:
  • Knowing who is Jesus
  • Be brave, have courage
  • Take action
Another new thing that I learned is, "if your heart is happy, please inform your face." A smile doesn't cost a lot. Some amazing scene is when it's about to finish, the speaker invited those who need healing, those who are facing storms of life and those who want to recieve Christ to come up and the church helpers will pray for them. Some people really fainted... heard that a lot have recieved Christ that night, praise The LORD.

Prayer session after the sharing, this lasts almost an hour:

Some inner feeling of mine... I only accepted Christ 2 years ago, means that I'm not a believer during childhood. I knew Nelson has to go to church every Saturday/Sunday, which made us not able to play together during weekends, but I never bother to know anything about it.

With Nelson's church gang:

Now, he's working full time as a staff in his church, using his only day-off educating new believers the Words of God, also a leader in Cell Group meeting, and most importantly... he fetches people to the chruch (he can drive - ARGH!!!). Years ago, we were only innocent children that played yugioh cards, playstation and chasing around (wow... those days). Just a glimpse, and we're so different now.

Anyway, his spiritual growth is really what I look upon to. I'm just a passing by visitor but I know it, the church needs him. I'm so grateful to The LORD, showing me greater things are also being done in this city. However, I have my area of commitment, not this place but somewhere else where I can grow mature and improve my skills.

Pray for Carl in Leeds as he's facing the last final exam. I know it's tough, may God bless him as how You prospered us. Congratulation for Charles for finishing his Bachelor in Software Engineering, has a good rest and pray that you'll start a good career soon. Finally, gonna pray for the most important thing, pray that Cheryl will be blessed with a good relationship soon, let a fine young man who is spiritual, musical, and caring appear in front of her~ In Jesus most precious name I pray, Amen.
