Back in Nilai again
Colin had a chance to worship lead last Sunday, so he urged me and Audri to join him in the team. Brother Wai Hon (landlord of the student house) was there in Nilai too, as a professional (I think so...) photographer, he had a good talk with Audri about cameras and taking pictures (and Audri was so impressed). He owns a Canon EOS 5D which costs more than 8k USD, Audri was almost crazy to touch that baby.
At night, Uncle Chan and family brought me and Brother Wai Hon to Tania for supper, while Colin and Audri stayed at home practicing the songs. I was supposed to stay too, but KTT took the keyboard, so I guess I'm not counted that Sunday. Of course, with photography topic, Charles had a good talk with Brother Wai Hon too, me and Cheryl had the same feeling that Charles talked so much on that night (which is quite contrast with his personality in public).
It was so late at night, me and Colin had nothing to do and planned to trick Audri (he's sleeping). I don't think I can elaborate more on this, let the pictures tell the story.
Our Valentine's Day
Robert arrived the next day (14th Feb, Valentine's Day) and they had a full band practice at home. I followed Uncle Chan out to run an errand. While we're going back, one of the tyre is hit by a screw, so we have to change the tyre. Yeah! Uncle Chan told me how to change tyre (have no doubt, it's my first time doing it).
Then, we drove to a nearby workshop to change the tyres, Uncle Chan also asked me to a nearby convinient shop to buy a can opener since the one in his house was spoiled. Incredible! I see all 3 of my design projects in one shot! I bought a CAN OPENER (my current design project), the worker in the workshop used PNEUMATIC MOTOR driven bolt opener to loosen the tyre's bolts (my previous project). Also, I see the BRAKE SHOE and PLATE of the wheel (my first project)! Can't believe my Valentine's Day could be so exciting.
Me, Colin, Robert and Sam were invited to the Chan's house for dinner. Audri chose to hang out with Tze and the gang. The food was nice, as always, but the best part is ... THE CAKE~ Strawberry Cake! So many strawberries, and it's so sweet! Which is SO NICE! Thanks Cheryl!
Don't get us wrong, we're not celebrating Valentine's Day, we are celebrating Aunty Elizabeth's brithday only! *Haha*
Sunday Service
Here comes the big day, it's Sunday Service again. Audri, Colin, Robert and Charles were preparing the instruments and sound checking. I'm not in, so I joined the ushers to welcome the others.
In a sudden, one of the KTT students came and brought the keyboard along (!). Uncle Chan, Aunty Elizabeth and Cheryl, all asked me whether want to play or not, but I was changing tyre when they practiced, I don't know the songs. So I decided not to play instead of messing up the whole team, I'll just let God make the decision. Everyone enjoyed the service though... so I guess I made a right choice.
God is Good... So Good
Chris was preaching, and suddenly Colin sms me (nah, this is the importance of silent mode!), here's the conversation through sms:
Colin :"do you wanna set up the keybaord later?"
Me :" For what?"
Colin :" How great is our God, c'mon!"
*"How great is our God" is the song title they're gonna play for the closing song.*
Me :"won't it be troublesome?"
Colin :" Not for God."
OK, at this moment, I stunt. I hold on my handphone looking at the message, unable to think of any word to reply, think and think and think. Finally, the reply from was... "Oh". C'mon, what was I thinking, serving the LORD is all about commitment, all about the heart to worship, I just posted the lesson on my previous post Above All and now I'm doing the mistake.
Chris finished preaching and was praying, my handphone vibrated, an instruction from Colin's sms "Now!". I was like... "you serious?". I saw Colin giving signal to Audri (coz Audri's near to him), and Audri's heading to the keyboard... So, I just stood up, touched Robert's shoulder, giving a signal that says "Back me up". So, Robert did some guitar plucking which covers up the "akwardness" of setting up the keyboard suddenly. Audri and I complete setting the keyboard just when Chris finished praying. Thanks everyone!
Well, "How Great Is Our God" is not a tough song in A major, not saying that I'm good but... it's a common song that I played for Shaun, Audri, Carl, Cheryl, Charles and so many other worship leaders before. However, this time it's different, something is not usual, not by chords, not by styles, but by the spirit of the LORD. Somehow, I now understand God really had a perfect plan, and it's the best for each and everyone of us.
Probably, most of you will be thinking something about me now (ah.. nvm, who cares how ppl think bout me)... I just don't know how to describe it by words... It's also funny thinking that I'm such a big boy now and still need others to take care of me... Anyway, thanks Colin, thanks a lot.
In Jeremiah 7:5, " I will be merciful only if you stop your wicked thoughts and deeds and are fair to others." I thank God for blessing me with helpful sheperds that guided me all along my spiritual growth. I pray for Robert that might work in Nilai 3 which offers him better (in terms of pay and benefits). May God be with him wherever he are. Also pray for Lawren's mother that worked so hard to support her whole family, may God brings mercy to her family. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
