Tarap

This is a post for the West Malaysian that scratch their heads whenever we from Borneo said Tarap. Tarap (also known as Marang)is a fruit that found in Borneo. I thought it's just a common fruit but it caught me in surprise when nobody from Peninsular has any idea about it.

How tarap looks like:

It's a seasonal fruit, I'm not sure when is the season but it's lucky to get each for RM3. If I'm going to describe this thing by word... it somehow looks like jackfruit, cempedak and breadfruit. That's how we describe school time hairstyle, "tarap head".

White fruit inside:

I would say this is one of the best fruit in my list. Knowing that it's a special in Bornuo, add on the uniqueness of its flavor ^_^ Every little white fruit has a seed inside. You guyz don't know one of the greatest thing about eating tarap is spitting out the seeds.

White fruit and seed:

Sorry for you guyz coz I don't think the airport allows us to bring this over. Besides, I don't see much of it for these few years. It's getting a lot more rare.

Time for tarap:

" The priest will make atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven."
-Leviticus 4:35

I guess it's almost the climax of summer break. Pray for those that are having resit paper soon, also for those who are in US doing work and travel. Also pray that the remaining summer break would be enriching. In Jesus name, Amen.
